Cognitive and Learning Assessments
Cognitive and Learning Assessments help identify how a person receives, processes, and responds to information. A comprehensive assessment of achievement and learning can assist to identify any reading and learning difficulties, specific learning disabilities, learning patterns, and giftedness.

Fundamental Psychology is a registered NDIS Provider of Positive Behaviour Support. We develop Positive Behaviour Support Plans collaboratively with participants, their families and supports. We then work together with supports to implement PBSPs, including training, to help NDIS participants reach their goals.
We also provide tailored reports to help individuals request funding for the supports they need through their NDIS plans.
These reports reflect an individual’s functioning across social, practical, and conceptual domains, as well as outline support needs and goals.

Bariatric Pre-Surgery Psychological Assessments
If you are considering bariatric surgery, a pre-surgery assessment can assist with understanding motivation, preparation, and emotional factors which can impact adjustments following surgery and associated lifestyle changes. Assessments provide valuable information to medical professionals to assist with treatment.
- Book Assessment
- Collection of background information (via questionnaires)
- Initial Session – In-depth exploration of the person’s experience including their strengths and the difficulties they may be experiencing. This includes an understanding of the concerns and behaviour being experienced to ensure the most appropriate assessments are conducted.
- Assessment Phase – Attend assessment session with a Fundamental Psychology Registered Psychologist where standardised assessments involving a range of activities are administered. The number and length of sessions will depend on the purpose of the assessment.
- Report and Feedback Session – Receive a detailed report outlining assessment results, including an explanation and recommendations to implement next steps.
